New Beginnings
Why hello there! I’m not exactly sure how to write a blog (do you write in the first person? Is it like i’m talking to myself? Am I talking to you?) but I’m willing to give anything a decent try at least. Well then Hi! I’m Eddy, a father, an entrepreneur and also a tinkerer at heart (and I also created an award winning Chilli Crab recipe in another career!) and i’m on a mission to start out a new business.
I’m fairly certain that I have Adult ADHD. This explains A LOT of my life up to now and finding out sort of brings about some relief of sorts. I now know that these previously grandiose ideas that I had in my head were not the best way of getting things done. Overthinking things and then getting overwhelmed about it created quite a bit of stress and anxiety. Well no more. My plan is to go about in simpler objectives and fail up along the way. And this leads me to my new “venture”.
The idea is simple. I’ve always had a thing for tinkering and fiddling around with stuff and always had stuff of which I wanted to create but could never go about it. Now with the advent of the modern home-sized 3D printing machines and great ways for marketing and distribution, i’m thinking I’m gonna try to get the product ideas in my head onto paper, into a model and get it prototyped and let the world judge it if’s good to market. There’s absolutely no guarantees in this life but hey, what’s the fun in a simple, problem-free life? Well f#%k ordinary, let’s create some stuff.
My first concept that I have is:
The OOAK (One-of-a-kind) Notebook
It’s stupidly simple really. Custom designed and 3D printed A5 notebooks that one can call their own. Personal branding? Check. Message of encouragement? Sure. One-of-a-kind notebook that you are the only person to have? Absolutely!
I’ll be honest, i’ve never ever done social media marketing and my abilities in photo / video taking are questionable but i’m willing to give it a shot. Stay tuned to find out more about the process in the next post and once again, thanks for taking the time to read this! Cheers!
